Visit from Paramedics
We could not be more grateful to Mia’s mum for organising a fantastic visit from the paramedics. Two paramedics arrived and spoke to the children about their important roles, how they help people, and what to do in an emergency.
The children were then invited to explore the ambulance. They were delighted to go up on the lift and step inside to look around. They had opportunities to sit in the paramedic’s chair, lie on the patient’s bed, and listen to heartbeats using stethoscopes. This hands on experience allowed them to learn about medical equipment in a safe and engaging way.
The paramedics stayed for nearly two hours, giving the children an exceptional learning experience. The excitement, curiosity, and joy the children showed was remarkable, and this visit will certainly be remembered as one of the highlights of our school year.
A massive thank you to Mia’s mum and to the paramedics who so generously gave their time to support the children’s learning in February.
