We are delighted to share with our learning community the exciting addition of newly designed Calm Zones in each of our classrooms. Each space has been thoughtfully created to support children’s emotional wellbeing and provide a calming environment when needed.
One Calm Zone features a space?themed design, complete with star lights, soft mats, interactive light boards, and large space?themed bean bags, making the area both comfortable and inviting. The second classroom now has a woodland?themed Calm Zone, incorporating tree?shaped bookshelves, soft log seating, bean bags and a large padded mat to encourage relaxation and comfort.
Both areas are finished with blackout curtains, allowing children to enjoy quiet time whenever required. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of these redesigned spaces.
In addition, work has begun on the redesign and fitting of our sensory room. This is currently ongoing as we await the arrival of specialist equipment, and we hope to complete this in the coming weeks.
We place great value on the emotional health and wellbeing of our entire school community, and we are confident these calm spaces will be of great benefit to our children. Staff have already spent time enjoying these beautiful new zones alongside the children.
