The Big Bedtime Read, planned as part of the Getting Ready to Learn programme, was once again a truly magical evening. Children arrived cosy in their pyjamas, clutching their favourite soft toys, and settled in with their parents to enjoy a selection of Easter stories read by our teaching staff.
After story time, families had the opportunity to wander around the nursery together, exploring a range of books from different genres. This calm and relaxed exploration helped highlight the importance of shared reading and the joy it brings to young children.
The evening continued with milk and cookies for both children and adults — a simple treat that added to the warm, homely atmosphere. Before heading home, the children performed a few beautiful Easter songs for their parents, confidently accompanying the music with percussion instruments.
